Jerusalem Marketplace
Beginning Sunday, March 15th and continuing through Easter Sunday, our elementary aged children will step back into time as they venture through the streets of Jerusalem during that memorable Passover holiday. Children will be placed in Tribal Families to learn more about the traditions Jesus observed and ways he learned about God. This two-hour unit will include trips to Marketplace Shops where the children will encounter vendors who are “all a-buzz” about the famous teacher who has come to Jerusalem, daily lessons at Synagogue School, songs, folk dances and Bible dramas where they’ll meet some of Jesus’ followers.  They’ll experience the joys of the Triumphal Entry, the solemnity of a Passover meal, the tension of the Trial, sorrow of the Crucifixion and finally, the joy of the Resurrection.
