We Require No Other Creed than this one.. He alone is Lord and Savior. Therefore,
accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior
You may prefer a minister or elder to guide you through these steps... Please call if you do. But, the basic steps to accepting Christ and obtaining salvation are: |
(John 3:16 KJV). Do you believe that Christ died for your sins, that He was buried, and that He rose from the dead? (Ref: 1st Corinthians 15:3,4 NIV) ..."that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures." |
Repent means to be sorry for our sin, but it's more than that. We must be willing to make a change in our lives. |
How do we confess Christ? By our actions and attitudes, but most of all by our words. (Ref: Romans 10:9 NIV) "...if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." ... that is before other Christians and the world. |
Baptism means immersion. Two things occur in baptism, according to Acts 2:38...
2 - you will receive the gift of the Holy spirit (Acts 2:38 NIV). |
(Ref: Ephesians 4:1-16 NIV) ..."As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit-- just as you were called to one hope when you were called-- one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. This is why it says: "When he ascended on high, he led captives in his train and gave gifts to men." (What does "he ascended" mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions ? He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work." (Ref: 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 NIV) "Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words." |
