Emory CCF... A New Frontier in Campus Ministry
Emory CCF's Mission
Meeting the Challenge of the New Frontier
On a state university, a campus ministry is protected by the U.S.Constitution-- any activity that is legal on public land is permitted by the university. On a private university, a campus ministry is a guest of the university, and any public event must meet the approval of the chaplain's office. This presents a challenge to a Christian ministry on a private campus. In addition to our weekly group meeting, Emory CCF meets this challenge with one-on-one discipleship. So many students are children of divorce, absentee parenting, or parental indifference. They are longing for mentors who will invest time in them and listen to them. Emory CCF meets that need by meeting with students on an individual basis each week to share a meal, pray, and discuss God's word. By sharing the love of Jesus with one student at a time, Emory CCF is meeting the challenges of this new frontier of campus ministry.

Emory: Home of Tomorrow's Leaders
Emory University is an amazing gathering of people who have received the blessings of our Lord. He has blessed these students with intellect, leadership ability, and a passion for changing this world. Emory graduates include the following people:
-- U.S. Vice President William A. Barkley
-- Former U.S. Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich
-- Six U.S. Senators, including U.S. Senator Sam Nunn
-- Presidents of 130 colleges and universities including: Yale, Duke Universities of Chicago, New York, and Miami
-- Ninety judges, including the Justice of the Supreme Court of Georgia

The students who are at Emory today will someday lead our government, schools, society, and church. The Lord has given each Emory student so many gifts. Sadly, many of these students still lack the greatest of all God's gifts: a living relationship with Him through His son Jesus Christ.

We must reach these students for Christ not because they are talented, or represent our nation's future, but because apart from Christ, they will perish.

Meet the Campus Ministers
Uniquely Equipped for the Challenge: Emory CCF Campus Ministers Chip & Amy Jurskis
Chip and Amy Jurskis with their children Lily and Arden Chip became a Christian while a student at the University of Georgia. How You Can Support Emory CCF

Without a doubt, the modern university is a mission field. Young people from every walk of life gather to seek truth in institutions that deny that truth exists. Thankfully, on over 100 state university campuses, there are Christian Campus Fellowships, encouraging Christians, proclaiming the truth and leading the lost to Christ.

There remains a portion of this mission field that is still unreached: the private university campus. Emory CCF represents the first Christian Campus Fellowship to uniquely target the students at a private university. Today there are 764,613 students (1999 Digest of Education Statistics) enrolled in private universities. Twelve thousand of these are at Emory and we invite you to join us as we bring the Gospel of Christ to this campus on the new frontier of Campus ministry.
