Men's Programs
Mission Statement: The Men's Ministry has as its purpose "To help all of the men of Southwest Christian Church to become holy, humble, prayerful men of God."
Why should I join the Men's Ministry?
  • to make new friends   
  • to be encouraged to grow spiritually with other Christian men.   
  • to have accountability as a part of a small group. 


Programs
Quarterly Men's Meeting Once a quarter, usually on the fifth Monday, we gather for dinner, singing, and a challenging message.
Prayer Triplets A group that encourages daily prayer for other men in our church. Each triplet leader prays daily for three men in the church for a six-month commitment.
Small Groups Small share and discipleship groups meet various times throughout the week. There are usually to eight people in each group.

The Promise Keepers

1. To be committed to honor Jesus Christ through worship, prayer, and obedience to God's Word in the power of the Holy Spirit. 

2. To be committed to pursue vital relationships with a few other men, understanding that he needs brothers to help him keep his promises. 

3. To be committed to practice spiritual, moral, ethical, and sexual purity. 

4. To be committed to build strong marriages and families through love, protection, and biblical values. 

5. To be  committed to support the mission of his church by honoring and praying for his pastor and by actively giving his time and resources. 

6. To be committed to reach beyond any racial and denominational barriers to demonstrate the power of biblical unity. 

7. To be committed to influence his world, being obedient to... 

  • the Great Commandment  (Mark 12:30-31)
and
  • the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).

The Great Commandment Mark 12:30Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' 

Mark 12:31 The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."
