Translation
Micah
6
8
He
has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of
you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

James
2
8
"If
you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, 'Love your neighbor as
yourself,' you are doing right.
9
But if you show favoritism, you sin and are
convicted by the law as lawbreakers.
10
For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles
at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it."

Mathew

"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees,
you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cummin.
But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy
and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting
the former." |

Living Translation
Micah
6
8 No, O people, the
Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to
do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

James
2
8
"Yes indeed, it is good when you obey the
royal law as found in the Scriptures: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
9
But if you favor some people over others,
you are committing a sin. You are guilty of breaking the law.
10
For the person who keeps all of the laws except
one is as guilty as a person who has broken all of God’s laws."

Mathew

“What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious
law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the
tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important
aspects of the law—justice, mercy, and faith. You should tithe, yes, but
do not neglect the more important things." |
